A prayer for Charly

Not much has changed over here at the hospital. Charly’s breathing has maintained at the level of support she’s been getting but hasn’t much improved. Her chest X-ray is about the same as Wednesday’s, but at least it’s not worse. She’s getting albuterol nebs with chest PT every 4 hours and a Flovent inhaler twice a day. She spiked a fever a few times overnight and they were able to get it back down with Tylenol. She hasn’t needed anymore morphine since Wednesday night, as she’s much more comfortable. We’re just hoping she has the strength to push the liquid out of her lungs if we give her some time. Andy and I spent the night with her last night and they let me hold her all night in the adult hospital bed they gave her.

Thoughtful Care

The hospital has been really understanding of our circumstance and has been in communication with us and our hospice team throughout this whole ordeal. We appreciate their willing to provide thoughtful and compassionate care given her complex medical history.

Pray With Us:

“Heavenly Father, We thank you for loving Charly.  We thank you for sending your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set her free. We trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore her.  Loving Father, touch her now with your healing hands, For We believe that your will is for her to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit. Cover her with the most precious blood of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Cast anything that should not be in her. Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells. Rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus’ precious blood. Let the fire of your healing love pass through her entire body to heal and make new any distressed areas so that her body will function the way you created it to function. Touch also her mind and her emotion, even the deepest recesses of her heart. Saturate her entire being with your presence, love, joy, and peace and draw her ever closer to you every moment of his life. And Father, fill her with your Holy Spirit and empower her to do your works so that her life will bring glory and honor to your holy name. We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
